This piece attempts to put together those changes that will be visible in the latest upgrade of Dynamics 365 for Sales in a few months’ time.

  •  Forecasting and Gamification:

Through forecasting, Dynamics 365 for Sales will now feature a set of capabilities to empower organizations natively create and manage bottom-up sales forecasts that will help drive accountability and predictability in their sales processes. The first change is the transformation of gamification admin experience, now available in the latest upgrade version through a unified interface. Gamification is meant to help organizations boost seller motivation, which will in turn drive CRM adoption and leads to increased performance and increased sales revenue. Improvements have also been made to forecast modeling, because of which organizations can now configure forecasts and support many more complex requirements, such as custom entity support for forecast roll-up and forecast hierarchy entities, the ability to break down the forecast by a specific dimension, support for multi-currency and quantity forecasts and advanced admin capabilities for enabling and disabling underlying grid columns.

  • New Dynamics 365 Sales Mobile Experience:

Changes have been made to intuitive mobile experiences that offer quick access to customer information and make it possible to keep the current information intact. Courtesy these changes, field sellers will now be able to easily finish common tasks, such as starting their day with easy to access info, add notes simply by the touch of a button while walking in and out of meetings, update accounts and opportunities and access account or opportunity details in seconds and act on customer info even while traveling. Sellers will now be able to find out customer information without much struggle, search for suggestions, reduce clutter and optimize lists for drill-downs, make full use of scrollable tabs and make best use of enhanced navigation with gesture support on Android and iOS.

  • Quote to Cash:

Microsoft has made changes in Quote to Cash as well, including capabilities and experiences that deliver a rich and intuitive end-to-end quoting business process for sellers and their customers. Because of these upgrades, end users will now be able to update to the existing preview experience to allow more optimal use of screen space to search and identify the right products in the catalog as well as price list. They will be able to customize information about the product line to provide in the Add Products dialog box. They will be able to view additional information for each product in addition to the product name before they select the product. Most importantly, they will be able to use enhanced experiences from quote, orders and invoices by leveraging new and improved experiences to add more product lines.

These changes can be seen in real-time by scheduling a Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales Demo with a Microsoft Partner.
